Automated Pre-Event Emails for MTE Timed Entry Events

MTE Events can now seamlessly set up fully customizable Automated Pre-Event Emails for MTE Timed Entry Events. Make sure attendees have their QR codes for fast check-in with the Ticket App. Communicate logistics, tips, and special information to enhance your attendees’ experience. With TicketSignup’s free Automated Pre-Event Emails, your event has full control: Customize content and style, use personalized replacement tags to include attendee information, and/or schedule a series of Pre-Event Emails.

Set Up Automated Pre-Event Emails

It takes less than one minute to set up automated pre-event emails. Navigate to Email >> Automated Emails. Click Timed Entry Pre-Event Email.

Enable the Timed Entry Pre-Event Email. Then set your schedule. Pre-event emails can be scheduled to send a set number of days, hours, or minutes before the ticket date or time slot.

Pre-Event Email set to 1 Day before time of event at 10:00am will send the pre-event email to all ticket purchasers the day before their ticket date at 10am. For example, ticket purchasers with tickets for November 15th will receive their pre-event email on November 14th at 10am.
Set to 1 hour before time of event without a defined time will send the pre-event email to ticket purchasers 1 hour before the date and time slot start time of their ticket purchase. For example, ticket purchasers with tickets for Nov 15th at 9am will receive their pre-event email on Nov 15th at 8am.

Click Save Settings to enable the pre-event automated email. The default pre-event email uses one of TicketSignup’s Pre-Built Emails, and includes your event’s logo, the ticket purchasers’ QR Code with instructions to keep available for check-in, and ticket info.

Customize the Automated Pre-Event Email

Take your event’s Automated Pre-Event Email to the next level by customizing the content! TicketSignup’s Email Builder makes it seamless to add additional replacement tags, text, images, social media links, and more. Click the Edit icon.

You can then choose a new template, either using one of your own templates or choosing a different Pre-Event Email layout and content from TicketSignup’s library of Pre-Built Emails. Alternatively, click Edit Email to make changes to the default email template.

Use the point and click Email Builder to add sections, content, and more. The example below shows a customized default Pre-Event Email that added:

  • Apple Wallet Replacement Tag
  • Fall Harvest image from TicketSignup’s Image Gallery system images
  • Parking, Event Logistics, and FAQs

Set Up Multiple Pre-Event Emails

You can automate a series of Pre-Event Emails by clicking Add Interval. For example, send an email 1 week before the ticket purchaser will attend. Then schedule a second pre-event email to send 1 hour before their time slot begins.

What’s Coming Next?

TicketSignup’s free Email Marketing will help events send nearly 1 Billion emails for free this year. We continue to add more Email capabilities that help events sell more tickets and communicate with attendees. The next priority for MTE Timed Entry Email Marketing is adding the capability to select some or all ticket types and time slots to email on a particular date. This will give events even more pre-event communication options, including last minute updates and cancellation notices.

Next year, we will add the option to set up Automated Pre-Event Emails by ticket type. In addition, we will enhance Add to Calendar capabilities. In addition, we will add an Automated Post-Event Email to give events flexibility with sending out post-event surveys, thank you messages, and cross-promoting other events.
