We are introducing a new blog series that will summarize all of the product releases relevant to ticket events on a weekly basis.
This week we shipped 29 updates relevant to TicketSignup events, adding 8,452 lines of code and removing 1,078 lines as we continue to improve and simplify the platform.
This week’s updates focus on smoother ticket transfers and waivers, a more polished website builder, and continued progress on our Volunteer V2 beta – all aimed at making it easier to run a great event from start to finish. Whether you’re managing ticket sales, building out your event website, or recruiting volunteers, there’s something here to help your next event run more smoothly. Read on for the details.
Ticketing & Payments Updates
Faster Ticket Transfer Support
When someone gives a ticket to another person as a gift, the ticket purchaser can now easily resend the transfer invitation if it doesn’t go through the first time. That means fewer stuck transfers and even more self-serve options for attendees when they need it.
More Accurate Sales Tax on Add-On Items
If you sell add-on items like merchandise or parking alongside your tickets, sales tax is now calculated correctly based on how each item is configured. You and your attendees can trust the totals shown at checkout.
Waiver Updates
Cleaner Waiver Pages for Ticket Buyers
We refreshed the waiver page your ticket buyers see, simplifying the layout, making the copy-link button easier to use, and shrinking the QR code. The page now feels less cluttered and is quicker to complete.
Custom Waiver Labels
Waivers can now be given their own custom label instead of just a generic number, making it much easier for you and your attendees to tell multiple waivers apart when an event requires more than one. We also polished a couple of small display issues that came up as we rolled this out, so everything is working smoothly.
Printable Waiver Agreements
You can now print or save a clean, formatted copy of any signed waiver directly from your dashboard. That’s handy for your own record-keeping, or if an attendee asks for a copy on-site.
Website & Event Page Builder Updates
Event List Display Fixes
We fixed several small but important issues with the Event List tool on your website, including a crash when an event didn’t have a year specified, tabs that appeared even when they weren’t needed, a save-validation issue that could block changes from sticking, and a conflict that affected donation pages. Your event listings should now display more reliably no matter how you’ve set up your site.
Two-Column Layout Fix
We fixed a bug where a two-column section on your website would disappear completely when switched to full width if the two columns had uneven widths. Your site layout will now display as expected in this configuration.
Custom Home Page Links Now Work Everywhere
If you’ve set a custom link for your event’s logo or name — for example, sending visitors to your main organization page instead of your event page — that link now works consistently across every version of the website builder.
Edit Site Wording Without Leaving the Builder
The page where you customize the wording used throughout your website is now built right into the website builder’s theme menu, so you no longer have to leave the builder to make those edits.
Volunteer V2 Beta Updates
As part of our upcoming beta Volunteer V2 product, we shipped several updates this week to help you recruit, schedule, and manage volunteers for your event.
Track Volunteer Check-Ins and Check-Outs
Volunteer coordinators can now record both when a volunteer checks in and when they check out of a shift, instead of just a single check-in status. That gives you a complete, accurate record of volunteer participation for every shift.
Custom Domains for Volunteer Event Websites
Volunteer event websites can now use your own custom domain name, just like your regular event and organization websites already can. Your volunteer sign-up page can now carry your own branding from end to end.
Event Lists for Volunteer Event Websites
Volunteer event websites can now include an Event List widget, so you can showcase other upcoming events right on your volunteer sign-up page. We also fixed a bug that could prevent this widget from loading correctly.
More Reliable Volunteer Registration
We made several behind-the-scenes improvements to volunteer sign-up this week: preventing duplicate accounts when the same email address is used twice, validating phone numbers before they’re submitted, catching scheduling errors where a shift’s end time was set before its start time, and making the sign-up process more resilient during high-traffic moments. The result is a smoother, more dependable sign-up experience for your volunteers.
Membership Updates
Membership Transactions Now Link Directly to Purchase Details
When you look at your financial transaction report, membership-related line items now link straight to that specific purchase’s details. That saves you a trip to a separate membership dashboard to track down the information.
See Memberships That Were Purchased and Then Cancelled
Membership reports can now optionally include memberships that were purchased and then cancelled shortly after, giving your organization a clearer picture of membership activity rather than just the memberships that are still active.
Clearer Instructions When Importing Members
When importing a list of members in bulk, the import page now includes a clear note explaining that those new members will need to visit the claim-account page to activate their membership. That reduces confusion for both you and your members.
AI Chat Assistant
AI Chat Session Summaries
If your event uses our AI chat assistant to answer attendee questions, you can now view a dashboard of past chat sessions along with automatically generated summaries, for both ticketed events and other event types. This makes it easier to see what your attendees are asking about.
