Shipping mistakes can cost your event time and money. TicketSignup’s new Shipping Address Collection & Verification helps you avoid these hassles by ensuring you have accurate shipping data to get your store purchases to the correct destination. Every ticket event can now activate address collection and verification for store purchases made during the ticket purchase or from the standalone store.

Set Up Shipping Address Collection & Verification
Enable shipping by going to Event >> Purchase Settings >> Shipping Address Settings. Choose the option to ask for shipping address when purchasers add store items to their cart.

When you enable shipping, there are additional options that you can enable.
- Enable USPS Verification: USPS Validation confirms that the address matches the official USPS records. This helps guarantee that your packages get delivered to a legitimate location.

- Allow Bypass if Undeliverable: If USPS reports an address as undeliverable, you can let purchasers override that warning. This flexibility accommodates edge cases where USPS data may be outdated or incomplete. It also keeps the purchase path moving for attendees.

- Allow International Addresses: Many ticket events only want to ship within the United States, as international shipping can be expensive and logistically challenging. If you want to allow items to get shipped internationally, you can enable international shipping. Note that we do not validate international addresses.
Reporting & API: Streamlined Order Management
Currently, shipping addresses appear on the store order.

Later this summer, we will add additional capabilities to view and export shipping addresses from the store orders report. Meanwhile, we’re currently updating our TicketSignup API to pass verified shipping data through the Get Ticket Store Purchases API method. With this improvement, your fulfillment partners can pull orders and verified shipping addresses directly from TicketSignup via API integration.
We will add more shipping functionality later this year. We will do a major project to bring the Store functionality in tickets and membership to RunSignup registration later this year. This will enhance our first release of shipping functionality for ticket events, upgrade store and shipping features for RunSignup events, and streamline future development across all the products in our ecosystem.
By collecting and verifying shipping addresses, you protect your event from avoidable shipping issues. Get ahead of potential delivery mishaps and deliver a smooth, reliable experience for your attendees with TicketSignup’s flexible Shipping Address Verification & Collection.
