Despite the current limitations on events, nonprofit organizations still need money to serve. Around the country, nonprofits are raising money and engaging their communities with creative virtual, hybrid, and socially distanced ticket events. TicketSignup delivers them the technology they need to both sell tickets and grow donations with a purpose-built platform that provides a modern alternative to Eventbrite, Classy, Crowdrise, and Blackbaud. This blog shares some ticket events that nonprofit TicketSignup customers are safely hosting to raise money now.
Margaritas, Munchies & Masks
The El Paso Holocaust Museum (EPHM) is virtually celebrating a community of togetherness with a virtual Flights & Bites event that support EPHM and its fight to combat prejudice and intolerance for a more peaceful future. Ticket options feature Munchies from local restaurants and Margaritas provide the ingredients for a perfect margarita, with a live mixology class via Zoom! In addition to selling tickets, EPHM makes a soft ask for donations that have already raised an additional $2,000.

PALS Pet Cotillion and Voting
Pets Are Loving Support (PALS) held a virtual Pet Cotillion to find their Fall 2020 “spokespet” and raise money to provide free pet food and low-cost veterinary care to the pets of Atlanta area persons living with disabilities and the elderly. PALS set up one ticket event for pet registration with a $25 dollar fee and integrated donations. Then they featured 8 pets in a voting competition. TicketSignup’s flexible platform lets PALS create “tickets” that each featured a pet with a short bio, and voters paid $1 per vote. PALS had more than 2,000 votes and also raised more than $1,000 in extra donations through the event.

14th Annual Comfort Food Classic: A Virtual Culinary Showcase
Grief’s Journey, a nonprofit whose mission is to help those experiencing grief find hope through support services, grief counselor education, and awareness, hosted an online cooking show with chefs from local restaurants. The ticket fee included a link to the online cooking festivities, a bottle of wine, and a gift card to one of the local restaurants.

MATS 30th Annual Turkey Smoking
The Ministerial Association Temporary Shelter (MATS) in Morristown, Tennessee is raising money by selling fresh smoked turkeys and pre-cooked hams for Thanksgiving dinner. Ticket purchasers choose their items as well as a time when they will pick up their turkey or ham up from the MATS parking lot to ensure a socially distanced event.
