For nearly ten years, Aimee Moreau has organized triathlons and community events throughout Louisiana. Like many event directors, she once relied on multiple platforms to manage registration, email marketing, photos, and event communications. The process was time-consuming and required a significant amount of manual work.
When she encouraged her organization to switch to RunSignup several years ago, everything became much easier. Registration, participant management, and communications were all streamlined in one platform.
Five years later, today, the President of Rocketkidz Foundation is so grateful that I asked them to move our triathlon registrations to RunSignup.
— Event Director
So when TicketSignup representative, Devon Wallace, reached out and explained that TicketSignup was built on the same technology as RunSignup, Aimee was immediately interested.
She organizes several ticketed events each year, and the fees on her previous ticketing platform had become increasingly expensive. For one event, Wine Down on False River, attendees pay around $300 per ticket, and processing fees could exceed $50 per transaction when purchasing just two tickets. On TicketSignup, a $300 ticket incurs just a 40¢ per ticket fee, plus credit card processing fees of 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction. The total added cost on a $300 ticket is less than $10—significantly lower than what attendees were paying before.
After moving her ticketed events to TicketSignup, both organizers and attendees noticed the difference.
Our customers are much happier than they were prior to using TicketSignup.
— Event Director
Today, Aimee uses TicketSignup to manage a variety of events, from wine experiences to shopping markets, while benefiting from the same easy-to-use technology that first attracted her to RunSignup.

Wine Down on False River
The most unique event that Aimee organizes is Wine Down on False River.
Now in its fifth year, the event began as a dream shared by five women who wanted to create a wine and art experience unlike anything else in the region. A good friend of theirs, native to New Roads, now owns a boutique winery in Napa Valley.
Today, the event brings nearly twenty-five Napa Valley winemakers to New Roads, Louisiana, on the banks of False River.
The experience includes an evening of intimate winemaker dinners hosted in private homes throughout the community. This year, twelve homes served as dinner venues. Each dinner pairs a visiting winemaker with a chef who designs a menu around the featured wines. People say it’s even better than a five start restaurant!
Attendance at each dinner ranges from 25 to 60 guests, creating a highly personal experience.

The following day, the event moves to Main Street, where guests can meet the winemakers and enjoy local art. This year’s event featured more than 80 different wine tastings and welcomed approximately 1,200 attendees.
The winemakers have done so well that they keep coming back every year.
While Wine Down on False River offers a highly curated experience for attendees, managing the event behind the scenes could easily become complicated. For Aimee, TicketSignup’s intuitive technology helps keep everything organized, allowing her team to focus on creating memorable experiences instead of managing logistics.

Favorite TicketSignup Features
Check-In App
For many event organizers, check-in can be stressful. Staff and volunteers often have varying levels of technical experience, making it important to have technology that’s easy to learn and use.
For Aimee, TicketSignup’s free Tickets App for CheckIn has eliminated that concern.
All of the people that work check-in or the registration table for these events have had no issues with the check-in app. Once the app is downloaded and I show them how to work it, which takes two minutes, it’s very intuitive.
— Event Director
Because the app is so simple to learn, volunteers get up and running quickly, helping events operate smoothly from the moment attendees arrive.

Customer Service
When you’re managing multiple events throughout the year, questions and unexpected challenges are inevitable. Having responsive customer support can make all the difference.
Whether Aimee has a question about website setup, tickets, or event management, she knows she can quickly get help from her dedicated account manager, Katie Atherton.
Knowing support is readily available gives her confidence that issues will be resolved quickly and allows her to focus on delivering great event experiences.

Free Email Marketing
Over the years, Aimee has organically built a large email list through her various events. However, managing email marketing in a separate platform can create extra work and make it harder to keep information up to date.
With TicketSignup’s free email marketing tools, she can easily communicate with past attendees and promote upcoming events without exporting data or managing another system.
One feature she particularly appreciates is how seamlessly the email tools connect with her event website. For example, she can take content she’s already created for an event page and quickly turn it into a marketing email using the built-in email builder.

She also likes how easy it is to include sponsors and event partners within her emails.
While social media remains an important marketing channel, email continues to be her most effective tool for driving ticket purchases and registrations.
I do think marketing emails are more successful than social media campaigns. I feel like there’s more of a direct conversion rate whenever you are sending an email versus a social media campaign.
— Event Director
Websites
Keeping event information consistent can be challenging when websites and ticketing platforms are managed separately. Even simple updates can require changes in multiple places.
Before TicketSignup, Aimee often found herself updating both her event website and ticketing page whenever details changed. With TicketSignup, everything is managed together.
By combining free website management and ticketing in a single platform, TicketSignup saves time, reduces the chance of errors, and makes event management much simpler.

Looking Ahead
One feature Aimee is particularly excited about is TicketSignup’s upcoming volunteer management functionality. Having successfully used the volunteer tools available in RunSignup, she looks forward to bringing that same efficiency to her ticketed events.
With intuitive technology, responsive customer support, and tools that continue to evolve, TicketSignup has become an essential part of Aimee’s event operations. She looks forward to using the platform for many years to come.
