As more and more people find, and register for events, online having a good-looking, and functional, website is more important than ever. Our websites have always been a strength of ours, but instead of simply telling you that you can make great websites, we wanted to show you some website examples.
Below are a few recent outstanding websites built with TicketSignup.
Pistons & Props
Pistons & Props brings together a car show and air show, for a unique, family-friendly, event. Since it’s such a wide ranging event with a lot of options for attendees, their website is particularly important. They used the new cards component for quick-jump links on the homepage to dedicated pages about all the different attractions.
They also used cards further down on the homepage to show different sponsors for the event and link out to those individual websites. Further, they added submenus for a few of the main top-bar navigation items. This keeps everything organized and makes it very intuitive for site visitors to find the information they need.
Even though most would think a car show and air show would be a big enough attraction, Piston & Props also has live music at their event. To give people a preview they embedded a live performance video of one of the bands using the YouTube component. With it all they had to do was copy and paste the link. The rest is done automatically.
Shenandoah Fall Foliage Bike Festival
The Shenandoah Fall Foliage Bike Festival gives a front row seat to see the changing fall leaves. The event attracts hundreds of people each year and is on pace to do so again in 2024. With the help of their event website, it seems like this could be a banner year.
For example, they’re utilizing the store feature to sell merchandise for the event This helps them generate more revenue, as well as gives people more options to support the event.
With Websites V2 you just add in the different store items you want to offer from your event dashboard (Store> Store setup). After doing so, you have the option to offer store items through your website, during registration, or both.
They’re also using a couple of other interesting components like adding in additional text to different ticket options using event tile highlights (pictured below).
Further on the design front, they decided to do a two column set up on their homepage for one section to display information side-by-side. Little touches like that heighten the design and make websites look more professional.
Targhee Bluegrass Festival
The Targhee Bluegrass Festival is a three day event showcasing the talents of bluegrass groups from all over. Their site is packed full of useful information about the event like set times and parking and camping information.
On their homepage they have a number of different ticket types for sale including full festival passes, as well kids passes and day passes. Each option has a description, making it simple to make the right choice.
Last, they utilized the ticket lookup feature. With it people can search for tickets they previously purchased using the email address associated with the purchase. Having that feature available is convenient for customers, but also helps reduce support inquiries for the festival.
Moving forward
We think most anyone in the events world would agree, a good website is a must-have these days. If people can’t find needed information, or register with ease, it’s possible they’ll choose to pass on your event altogether.
Building a great website may sound like a big task, but it doesn’t have to be. With the help of TicketSignup anyone can make an impressive, professional-looking, easy-to-navigate, website.
