The MTE Timed Entry Wizard makes it easy to set up time slots across dates and ticket types. Many events will want to edit, add, and delete time slots after creating their event. TicketSignup’s calendar-based Time Slot Management makes this easy and self-serve.
Month and Day Views for Time Slot Management
Time Slot Management is currently done on the Schedule. In the coming weeks, we will upgrade the Schedule to include easy links to events’ key management tools: Time Slots, Caps, Pricing, and Attendee Actions. Currently the Month View displays time slots for each day with tickets available. We will update this as well to display actionable summary data, including start/end time per day and ticket types available.
Click into any day to drill into time slots and ticket types per date. Similar to Pricing and Caps, the Day View lays out the time slots by ticket type with actions at the Ticket and Time Slot.
Edit Time Slots
MTE timed entry events can edit caps per ticket type at three levels.
- Add a Single Time Slot: Click on a Ticket Type for any date. Then click Add a Single Time Slot. You have the option to copy the additional time slot to all future tickets on that day of the week.
- Add Multiple Time Slots: Similarly, you can add multiple time slots. This makes it easy to set up irregular time slots, or bulk update available time slots. The dynamic Timeslots Preview gives you the option to review time slots before adding them.
- Edit or Delete a Single Time Slot: You can also edit a specific time slot to change the start or end time. Click the trashcan to delete the time slot. Time slot edits/deletions can be copied to all future iterations of the ticket type and day of week. We will be adding an option to bulk delete some or all time slots on a date.
The Day View makes it easy to edit time slots, whether you are customizing ahead of opening tickets sales or updating time slots in real time while on site in response to weather, staff, lines, and other issues that may come up.
Shared Time Slot Rules Across Ticket Types
Timed entry events that want to share rules across ticket types (including for time slots, caps, and pricing) can use TicketSignup’s advanced MTE custom rules. (Note: You must request custom rules enabled for your event).
With custom rules, you can generate time slots that some or all ticket types share. The two primary reasons for using custom rules are (1) Many time slots with irregular but repeating caps/pricing patterns; and (2) Shared caps across ticket types per time slot.
Summary
TicketSignup’s patent-pending MTE Timed Entry has calendar-based time slot management. This makes it easy to do bulk updates, as well as edit specific time slots. Events can see changes in visual day and month calendar displays to track edits and understand the hours each date is open.
