Kimmswick’s Witches Night Out has been a beloved tradition for more than a decade – an all-day celebration designed exclusively for women 21 and older. The 2025 edition welcomed more than 4,500 attendees for a packed day of live music, psychic readings, specialty shopping, costume contests, and a whole lot of witchy energy.

Managing an event of this scale requires more than creativity and cauldrons. It requires smart, reliable technology behind the scenes to keep thousands of guests moving safely and smoothly throughout the day.

Operational Challenges

Like many high-demand events, Witches Night Out needed technology that could handle fast-moving ticket sales and simplify on-site logistics. Several unique needs added complexity:

The Technology Solution

Age Verification

To confirm that ticket purchasers understood and would follow the age policy, they added a custom question. Each purchaser was required to agree that all attendees would abide by the 21+ requirement. They followed this up with an on-site ID check of attendees.

Private Ticket Presale

A Private Ticket level allowed organizers to share an exclusive ticket link with local residents and merchants before public sales opened. This kept presale inventory hidden from the public while making it easily accessible to the intended community. The most important part? Creating goodwill with the local community.


Event Day Control With the Ticket Check-In App

Witches Night Out is an all-day event, with check-in running continuously from morning through early evening. Attendees scan in at a local middle school before boarding shuttles to downtown Kimmswick.
