Optional Email Confirmation Field Reduces Delivery Errors

TicketSignup now offers an optional Email Confirmation field that events can enable to ensure purchasers enter a valid email address during checkout. This feature adds a second “Confirm Email Address” field, helping prevent typos that can prevent attendees from receiving their confirmation email and event updates.

Not every attendee uses autofill for email. Some still type email addresses manually, and even a small typo can lead to missed confirmations and added support work. When turned on, the Require Email Confirmation field prompts purchasers to retype their email, reducing user error while keeping the checkout experience quick and intuitive. Importantly, this enhancement preserves the speed of modern checkout tools. Browser autofill populates both fields automatically, and Apple Pay continues to fill in the purchaser’s email seamlessly.

Events can choose to enable the email confirmation field. Go to Tickets >> Information Collection. You can enable “Require Email Confirmation” per ticket or modify all ticket types at once. This flexibility ensures that events that want dditional validation can add it, while others can maintain an even faster checkout flow.

When enabled, the checkout page displays a clean and familiar Confirm Email Address field directly beneath the Email Address entry.

This simple addition can help to reduce user error and ensure attendees reliably receive essential event information.
